A Day In The Life Of...

Our fantastic "Day in the life of..." taster sessions are run over two days and provide you with inspiration and experience  of your chosen sector. 

They’re all led by industry specialists, so you can benefit from their knowledge and expertise. You will have the opportunity to visit a site and/or informally discuss the potential job roles with employers, getting valuable insider knowledge for your CV.

We’re running these tasters as a direct response to local industry requests for support to find the right candidates for jobs and training programmes.

Some of the workshops we have covered to date include Pink Boutique who delivered a fashion industry taster, St Cuthbert’s Care focusing on social care, Foresight who provided an insight into the digital and gaming industry and also Keepmoat Homes providing a interactive session on the house building industry. We also went along to Newcastle University and found out about the variety of non academic roles on offer within our world class University. We have many more in the pipeline so watch this space!
