Social action is about people coming together to help improve lives and solve problems that are important in their local communities.
We deliver the British Council’s Active Citizens programme – an international course focusing on building community wealth through social action and community empowerment with workshops and training aimed at helping local people influence change and tackle issues by making a positive difference in local communities.
Our FREE short workshops explore culture and identity, social action, and developing and managing a project. We look at how people think about themselves and how issues affect communities locally, nationally and globally – including how you can influence change. A certificate is presented upon completion of the course.
Whether you have your own project idea or just want to get more involved in your community, Active Citizens can help you achieve both.
Meet new people whilst learning new project management skills and get the support, resources and seed funding you need to develop your social action idea.
Workshops will be starting again as soon as it’s safe to do so. Please check our social media pages for updates. For any further information please email info@rhwe.org or call 0191 226 7300.
