I worked for a global corporation working in a local base in the North East and luckily we found John Buddle Work Village where, for four years, we found a happy home.
When I got to know Alex and the team and understood what RHWE was all about, I was only too pleased when my job situation changed and I was asked to continue my association with the charity and appointed a Trustee so that I could give something back to the area.
I knew Elswick not least because my wife taught at Hadrian School, but also because I had done a lot of research on the history of the area for my MA, research which continues now with my Northumbria University PhD.
My business background is in Process transformation – diagnostic assessment, Lean Six Sigma implementation, ISO9001; policy and procedure documents; process culture and staff skills development, all of which, where possible, I use to support the charity in its work.
